Bargaining typically happens once every three years. Our goal when we bargain is to lock in a three year Negotiated Agreement to ensure that our members and coworkers know exactly what is coming for the next three year period.

Being a wall to wall local means we bargain for our classified members as well as the certified members. These bargains happen in consecutive years with the administrators association bargaining first.
March 21, 2022, Former President Cory Hughes and Current President Segue Grant traveled to Juneau to lobby with state representatives.

The bargaining team is entirely volunteer/ appointment based and changes for each bargain cycle. During this time the president and the bargaining chair work together to help recruit and encourage members to join.
